His charity boasts over 125 volunteers throughout 200-plus locations, where over 150,000 wigs are provided and 50-plus wishes are granted. In all, he’s changed at least one million lives. Lawrence Cruz is the Chief Patent Counsel at Conair Corporation, a position he has held since 2002. In addition, he has served as an advisor to two startup surgical device companies during this time. His responsibilities are broad and have given him experience in legal and business functions that include all areas of intellectual property, litigation, licensing and contractual matters, negotiating and structuring legal and business deals, business and investment due diligence, new product development, inventing, and various miscellaneous business and legal matters. His prior experiences include intellectual property counsel positions at FMC Corporation and United States Surgical Corporation, and in private law practice. He started his career at the United States Patent Office. During the past decade he has been a frequent speaker at intellectual property law conferences.
Mr. Cruz devotes much of his time to participating in fund raising events for various national charities, including having participated in over 150 charity running events accompanied by his son, who is on the autism spectrum. He also actively mentors current law students and recent law school graduates.
Lawrence Cruz obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University, and he holds a Juris Doctor degree in Law from the George Washington University Law School.
Peter Giannone is the Senior Director of Operations and General Manager at Conair Corporation. He joined Conair in 2007 as the international manager for Owner, Leandro P. Rizzuto, with whom he worked closely with for almost 10 years. Along with Mr. Rizzuto’s grandson, Julian, Peter supported the company’s global interests and traveled extensively in the U.S., Asia, Europe and South America. He has served on the Professionals Committee for Greenwich, CT based Kids in Crisis, organizing fundraising events and recruiting to support the organization.
Born in North Reading, Massachusetts, Peter attended the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where he studied Marketing, volunteered in multiple local charities and organized events for the American Cancer Society. He later received his MBA at Bentley College in Waltham, MA with a concentration in International Business. Before Richard entered the venture capital industry he spent almost 10 years working in wealth management for Morgan Stanley, UBS, and Wachovia Securities. Spending half his life in Wisconsin and the other half in Southern California, Michael’s career spans 38 years in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry, with a strong emphasis on Beauty products. He has held leadership roles for large sized multinational companies such as PepsiCo, The Dial Corporation, Alberto-Culver and Conair Corporation. In 1997, Michael joined Pacific World Cosmetics, a Nail and Accessories beauty company with annual sales of $25M. Moving up the ranks to Sr. Vice President of Sales & Category Management and joining the Executive Team in 2002, he contributed to ten- fold sales growth by 2016. Michael was a key member of several M&A teams during his tenure at Pacific World. Most recently, Mr. Matulis was the Vice President/General Manager for Allegro Creative for 5 years, a Beauty Division of Conair Corporation. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Marquette University.
Michael has been involved with and supports the Special Olympics in stride with his now 28 year old son Caleb who has Down syndrome. He has two other sons, Jared and Levi who are musicians. He resides in Mar Vista, California with his wife Angie and their 4 dogs.
Tina is an entrepreneur and devoted philanthropist who holds duel bachelor degrees in Management, Organizational and Social Sciences, as well as Master of Laws. With a fluency in six languages it’s safe to say that she is a natural at cross cultural communication and excels at being a leader under pressure. Her most important work spans all things digital with some incredibly meaningful societal projects to highlight; Wrongful Conviction Podcast with Jason Flom (Lava Records), Innocence Project’ campaigns for jurisdictional reforms and unity, Drug Policy Alliance’ advocate, Smiles Through Cars’ Executive Board Member and FAM (Fighting All Monsters) creative director.
When asked why she dedicates such an enormous amount of time for these projects she then answers “For the culture. It starts with me and continues with you. If we practice this often we inspire others to join. Empathy is a beautiful thing.”
Jason Olson graduated from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge, School of Law in 2011 and joined the California State Bar that same year. After law school he took a position as the Vice President at American Medical Forensic Specialists, one of the top Medical Expert Networks on the west coast. Jason worked with the top law firms across the country in locating top medical experts. In 2014 Jason joined Kabateck Brown Kellner LLP, a nationally respected Plaintiff Litigation firm, as the Business Development Manager eventually being promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer at the firm.
In 2017 Jason successfully launched his new venture BlahCow Gaming, live producing a variety of content on Twitch.tv. In 2019 he expanded his business launching BlahCow LLC which provides business development, business operation and technology consulting services across multiple industries.

Michael Spanos II completed an internship with the Chargers in the summer of 2012 before spending the last three years (2013-15) working at the National Football League Office in New York. Spanos worked in a variety of capacities at the League office, including Management Council Labor Operations, Entertainment Marketing, the NFL Legends Community, Community Relations, Public Relations and Social Responsibility, and Digital Media Business Development. Spanos joined the Chargers in July 2016 as a salary cap and personnel assistant.
A native of Stockton, Calif., Spanos attended Lincoln High School where he lettered in football and was named the San Joaquin Athletic Association's Most Valuable Player as a senior. Spanos then attended Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif., where he played running back for the Cardinal football team. He graduated with a degree in Science Technology and Society in 2013.
Jason Tiger started his career managing the Asia operation at a top 10 children's toy company, that ultimately sold in 2019. He then has started the company Tiger Source, LLC to incubate companies, influencers, and other entities through product development and sourcing around the world.
Peter comes from an entrepreneurial South African family and spent his early years in his parents’ jewelry and diamond business. He grew up in Johannesburg and came to the United States at 18 to continue his entrepreneurial passion after obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance and Accounting at San Diego State University.
In 1985, Peter graduated and joined Laventhol & Horwath, CPA’s (7th largest at the time in the US) where he earned his CPA. In 1990, he left L&H to join Superba neckwear as it’s CFO where he was instrumental in helping to grow its sales and profitability. He was a member of the Board of Directors and it’s third largest shareholder. The company’s sales were $15 Million (3% of US market) in 1990 and by 2006, when it was acquired by PVH, its sales had increased to $280 Million (55% of US market). In 2001, Peter left Superba and joined Imperial Toy as its CFO. In 2003, he became Co-President of the company and in 2005 he purchased it.The company grew its sales from $35 Million to $125 Million by 2010, transforming it from a non-licensed, non-proprietary, and non-branded business to a universally recognized, branded, licensed and proprietary toy company. In 2019, the company was sold to another toy company.
Peter now spends his time helping and investing in young entrepreneurs by developing their businesses into dynamic organizations. Peter loves seeing innovative, original ideas develop into successful companies led by exciting people who are fun to work with. Stuart Vetterick has 20 plus years of experience in both finance and real estate finance. He has worked on both the individual and corporate level, managing transactions upwards of more than a billion dollars. At the corporate level, he has successfully completed multiple mergers and acquisitions as well as debt and equity offerings. At the individual level, he specialized in sourcing public and private debt/equity for existing and development opportunities. Currently, Stuart is a Broker Associate at Hilton & Hyland, the top luxury residential real estate brokerage firm in Los Angeles, working with homeowners, investors, and developers to buy and sell their real estate assets.
Stuart’s career, prior to Hilton & Hyland, included Director of Business Development for Beal Bank, Vice President of Structured Products for CSG Investments, a subsidiary of Beal Bank, Director of Acquisitions at Silverado Interests, Vice President of Commercial Mortgaged Backed Securities (CMBS) Originations at Banc of America Securities, and Analyst at Hillwood Development. He received his BA in Finance and Real Estate Finance at Southern Methodist University in 1999. Mr. Vetterick has his Texas and California Real Estate Broker’s License.
